Members of Holy Cross Dandora Catholic Church SHG were equipped with practical financial knowledge and tools to build sustainable wealth. Led by Coach Austin Akuku, the session focused on a mindset shift towards disciplined saving, wise spending, and strategic investment.

Key highlights included:

  • Understanding Money: The role of money as a medium of exchange, store of value, and standard of deferred payment.

  • Budgeting & Planning: Conducting life audits, setting long-term visions, building multiple income streams, and designing supportive environments.

  • Saving & Investment: Applying the “pay yourself first” principle, automating savings, leveraging SHG products, and reinvesting dividends for compounding growth.

  • Debt Management: Adopting structured repayment strategies (e.g., snowball and avalanche methods), using debt responsibly for wealth creation, and maintaining strong credit health.

  • Entrepreneurship: Crafting clear business visions, budgeting wisely, borrowing prudently, keeping proper records, and planning for growth and succession.

Participants were encouraged to start with savings, build side hustles, invest in themselves, and partner with trusted institutions like Holy Cross Dandora SHG to accelerate their financial growth journey
